Capacity Building for High Ranking Officers and Stakeholders in the Energy Sector
ENERGIA supported the Gender Resource Information and Development Centre (GRID) in a project aimed at building capacity for officials and other stakeholders specific to energy and gender issues, through a national network based on GRID and the LAO Women’s Union. The project took place between January and December 2010.
National Training Course on Mainstreaming Gender Concerns in Energy Projects 2008
A workshop on gender mainstreaming in Energy Projects in Lao PDRtook place between 27th and 31st October, 2008. The training workshop was conducted by the Gender Resource Information and Development Center (GRID) with the technical and financial support from ENERGIA and SNV with the aim of mainstreaming gender concerns in energy planning and service delivery.
Enhancement of the Lao National Focal Point in data collection and exchange of gender information in energy sector -2008
ENERGIA supported the Gender Resource Information and Development Centre (GRID) in a project aimed at creating an updated assessment of gender issues in the Lao PDR which with a focus on energy. This overview includes an overview of gender and energy situation in the country, government’s policies and efforts, legal issues, gender issues in key sectors, social, economic and political profile of males and females in the country, emerging issues, and recommendations and to improve access to information.
