Engendering the Medium Term Renewable Energy Policy of Pakistan, 2011
“Engendering the Medium Term Renewable Energy Policy of Pakistan” was part of the Capacity building strategy of ENERGIA, undertaken in collaboration with the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) and was part of the follow up of the Regional Workshop for Engendering Policies and Practices in Asia, undertaken in late November 2009. While the AEDB, in line with its mandate, was in process of drafting the Renewable Energy Policy towards the last quarter of the year 2010, it sought technical assistance from ENERGIA in engendering the draft policy document.
Seed funding for the energy and gender network Pakistan
ENERIA supported a program to establish the Pakistani Gender and Energy Network – ENERGIA Pakistan Network, in partnership with the Alternative Energy Board Pakistab. The duration of the program was between October 2010 and May 2011. The main activities that took place under this project are: review of the relevant policies; establishing a network secretariat; creation of a network website; launching the network;
Gender in Energy Projects: National Biogas Development Programme, 2010
This Gender Action Plan (GAP) was been developed as an output of the gender mainstreaming process within the Pakistan Domestic Biogas Programme (PDBP), facilitated and supported by ENERGIA. This GAP outlines the background knowledge, objectives and implementation actions designed to meet the goal of mainstreaming gender into every aspect of the Pakistan Domestic Biogas Programme, in its current and future iterations.
