Activities:

National Training Workshop on Mainstreaming Gender Concerns in Energy Projects and Policies. Vietnam, 2010

The national training workshop on “Mainstreaming gender concerns in energy projects and policies”, was held from 28th to 30th May 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam. This training workshop was conducted by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) - the national focal point for the Viet Nam Network for Gender and Energy Development (VNGED), with financial support and technical backstopping from ENERGIA.

Strengthening gender mainstreaming in energy development programs in Vietnam

ENERGIA supported the Vietnam Women’s Union in a project aimed at mainstreaming energy and gender issues through the Vietnamese national network – the Vietnam Network for Gender and Energy Development (VNGED). The project took place between March 2010 and December 2010. The main activities included a national review workshop; conduction of a survey on gender and energy issues; and dissemination through development of material and use of the media.

ENERGIA supported the Vietnam Women’s Union in a project aimed at mainstreaming energy and gender issues through the Vietnamese national network – the Vietnam Network for Gender and Energy Development (VNGED). The project took place in 2008. The main activities included creation of an e-group; and the holding of one workshop and two training courses.
